Doggerel for Geoff Our political views they were different (Our skills, and their levels, were not) You had done many things that I hadn't I'd achieved many things you had not. Our educations were bi-polar Our backgrounds were disparate too And yet I felt so much in common That I wrote this to say I miss you. Ê I smoke a cigar, I sit drinking I dream of the plans that we had. I think back to our drinks at the Anchor And the sonnets you wrote (which weren't bad). We straddled the Globe (well, we tried to) Then it spun me right off (to it's loss). I admired you, and still do - you're kickin' You're the man, you're the bomb, you're the boss.
